What began as a nickname eventually became a business concept.
sherlock. & GRAY was founded by Nesrin Herrmann, with 15 years of leading operations, transformation, and international business initiatives across Europe and Asia.
Colleagues referred to her as „Sherlock“ because of an unusual ability to identify underlying system patterns.

Over her career, Nesrin has directed cross-functional transformations, bridging the gap between high-level operational design and practical business initiatives.
Notably, she engineered the development and market launch of one of Germany’s first CBD retail product lines, successfully securing placement in Rossmann, one of the country’s largest retail chains.

Do you specialize in an industry?
I have specific knowledge in a few industries, but I work as a generalist. The closest thing to a specialty is structure: patterns, principles, and the point where they stop being coherent. The fault shows from above, the fix happens in the detail. That works without industry expertise, because it runs on logic, not on jargon.
Who is behind sherlock. & GRAY?
sherlock. & GRAY is led by Nesrin Herrmann and works with a network of firms and consultants. You get the resources a project needs at one table, without paying for the overhead a large firm carries.
Do you work on site or remotely?
Remote first, on site for larger projects. Most of the work is structural, and structure lives in systems. Documentation, processes and handovers are digital these days, so they can be examined from anywhere. What people do on site is usually decided by those systems. Where being there in person matters, we arrange it.
